The inks and grey tones of issues 1-2

Hello from Castrum Lusitania, my fortress in northern Portugal. Welcome to another edition of our weekly newsletter.

A short one this week, mostly to announce that we’re doing a run of A RIGHTEOUS THIRST FOR VENGEANCE Artist Proof oversized editions, presenting the inks and grey tones of issues 1-2.

The original book, with incredible colors by Chris O’Halloran, can be found in its entirety in 11 issues, which are collected in two trade paperback volumes (click here for Vol. 1 and here for Vol. 2) and in its deluxe, oversized edition with more than 60 pages of extras.

But it is very exciting to add a couple of issues with the black and white artwork to an already healthy array of options to enjoy something we’ve worked so hard on. The digital grey tones have a good amount of work, with different shades of grey and labored rendering in some parts, so it will hold well on its own.

The artist proof editions of issues 1-2 will be published by Image Comics, with a release date coming soon. I’ll leave you with the cover and a taste of what’s to come.
