Hello from Castrum Lusitania, my fortress in northern Portugal. Welcome to another edition of our weekly newsletter.
As mentioned last week, I’ll be pausing Project Red to work on another thing for a couple of months and guess what - it’s already going full steam ahead.
A Quick Detour
Despite not being in the plans, I’m doing a quick detour from Project Red to work on a couple of issues of a different thing. An assortment of reasons made it all kind of inevitable. It’s a great lovely thing though, and I already have both scripts in hand so all in all it shouldn’t take more than next couple of months. Layouts have been done for part of the first issue and half a dozen pages are already penciled.
It can be very exciting to do a short run like that, because you don’t have to settle for the long run. You get to come in, break a few toys, and leave. And that’s exactly what I’m about to do. Some of you might imagine what it is, but for the rest, fear not, it should be announced soon.
In any case, here are a couple of non-spoilery panels:
A dead tree and couple of desperate looking people. Tell you what, it ain’t gonna be a comedy.
Phenomena Book 3 with commission
I’ll be adding a section in my website still this year with some options for books with commissions, a select few pieces of original artwork (covers) and traditional commissions. But while that doesn’t happen, people still reach out for those options through my website or social media.
This week, I sold another Phenomena with a commission in it, specifically Phenomena Book 3. See here the results:
I’ve been told by the client that these pictures don’t do it justice, which is always nice to hear. If you’re interested in something like this, you can reach out directly to me through here.
Remember: you can now buy Phenomena Book 3 (and 1 and 2)

Next week I’ll take some days off with the family, so there won’t be newsletter.
See you in a couple of weeks,
André
